Safety Shoe Distributors of O.K.I. was established in October of 1987. SSD has been in the safety shoe business for over 35 years servicing industrial accounts in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Southern Illinois, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. As a company, we know our first responsibility is serving our customers.
We are dedicated to providing consistent, high quality products with unwavering, professional service at a fair price. At Safety Shoe Distributors, we expect our employees to demonstrate and display this mission every day, whether it on a shoemobile, in a store, or on the phone. In addition to operating shoemobiles that service Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, Safety Shoe Distributors also operates nine walk-in shoe store locations. Eight of the store locations are called “FOOTWORKS”  while the ninth location is called “BOOTWORKS”. HyTest is the major brand along with Wolverine, Harley Davidson, Reebok, Timberland, Caterpillar, Skechers, Florsheim, Carhartt, Carolina, Twisted X, Ariat, and many more. Safety Shoe Distributors also carries a complete line of Carhartt work clothing for the working man and woman.
